CHARLTON AND DACK \u2013 It was a year of good community celebrations and healthy projects in the Municipality of Charlton and Dack in 2025.<\/p>\n
A major project was undertaken to upgrade its Blackbridge Pioneer Park. The Ontario Trillium Foundation provided $75,000 in funding support for boardwalk repairs and other park enhancements, said Municipality of Charlton and Dack chief administrative officer Vaughn Finch in an email interview.<\/p>\n
Following the completion of the work, a grand opening was held.<\/p>\n
On July 1, the municipality hosted its annual fireworks display and vendors market.<\/p>\n
Planet Youth funding has been received from the municipality to assist with a planting demonstration project,<\/strong> said Finch. The demonstration will take place in the spring of 2026, he said.<\/p>\n The municipality has also been approved by the Ontario government for up to $449,000 in emergency funding to compensate it for the significant damage that occurred during an April 12, 2024, rainstorm.
